The primary language that people tend to speak in the USA is English, but in spite of the fact that this is the case there are several other languages that get spoken there as well. It is important to note that English is in many ways an imported language due to the reason that it was not spoken by the people that are native to that land but much on the contrary it was something that immigrants to that land brought with them when they first moved there a couple of hundred years ago when America was first founded.
The second most widely spoken language in the US is likely going to be Spanish since this is the most spoken tongue in Mexico which this country shares a border with. Hence, many Spanish speakers need to have their legal documents translated from their mother tongue into English as that will make it easier for court officials and government appointees to read more about their legal status which is something that can often be heavily contested due to unfair policies.
If you speak both Spanish as well as English, suffice it to say that you can make a real killing when it comes to legal translations. The rate that you should add to your invoice shouldn’t be any less than 15 cents a word unless you are trying to do something charitable for someone that does not have a lot of money to work with. This rate is enough to make the job truly worth the effort you will be putting into it, but going lower might make you a more desirable candidate for some people.
