On Being Printed and Bound

I recently co-authored a chapter for a law textbook being published as we speak by Matthew Bender Press, the publishing division of Lexis/Nexis, and you can see a little blurb about me in the “Author” section. The publisher has just emailed me to say that the book is now at the printer being bound, and I will be receiving my complimentary copy shortly. I have to say, this is not going to be a best-seller since the subject matter of the textbook is the United States Defense Base Act – i.e. something incredibly esoteric and not bedside reading. However, it is rather interesting to see that one’s work is, in fact, considered worthy of marketing.
