The composting continues, but the fermentation, on the selective use of oxygen and bacteria, so that the organic material is degraded. In addition, not only is the use of oxygen optimized, but the temperature is also kept at a perfect level in order to multiply the natural reactions to the degradation of the material. In order to create this optimal environment and to show the degradation of the material through composting, one needs an industrial composting plant. However, this type of industrial composting is not always used. Many disposal companies or even consumers at home use composting in its simplest form. Here, composting is carried out using so-called rents (heaped up material). In this type of composting, the oxygen supply is ensured by mechanical circulation or by hand at home in order to drive the process forward. This type of composting can also be used professionally in enclosed spaces so that ventilation and temperature can be controlled.

After the composting process has been completed, it is followed by post-processing, in which the resulting material is sieved again.Regardless of whether it is composting at home or industrial composting, both processes have one goal, namely to turn supposed waste into organic material. The composting process can completely break down waste. the cycle is closed and ultimately the compost that is produced is fed back into the cycle. Ultimately, the types of composting differ only in terms of implementation, since industrial composting uses technology that optimizes composting. In the end, organic disposable dishes and packaging can also be composted, which is not possible with domestic compost. Ultimately, composting, regardless of the type, is of great value in terms of the sustainable design of the cycle.
